TAMULPUR COLLEGE NSS UNIT

Tamulpur College National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit was established by the college administration in the year 2018 with a Committee. Mr. Mwkthang Gayary, Asstt. Prof. & H.O.D. of History Department was appointed as the first Programme Officer of the Unit.
This Unit was approved by Bodoland University NSS Cell in the same year. Later on after the formation of Internal quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Tamulpur College, the NSS Unit of Tamulpur College came under this Cell for overall growth and development of the college students’ and nearby areas in general. Since then, Tamulpur College NSS Unit is organizing and conducting various Social Service activities in and around the college premise and the villages of Tamulpur area. Apart from this the Unit has its own Adopted Village i.e. Barnagar and Odalguri Village, near the College campus where various activities and Special Camp is organized. The total intake capacity of NSS volunteers for Tamulpur College NSS Unit is
100. Every year 50 new Volunteers are selected from 1 and 3d Semester students and selection is done on the performance of 3 layer trial activities.
