The Philosophy Department was established with inception of classes in the year 1993. In the year 2017 Major Course was introduced, since then the department had no looking back but garners the quest for humanitarian streams and the department had been able to discharge the needs and aspirations of the student by innovative and systematic style of teachings, by keeping close relations between teach and taught so that the teacher could bring out the hidden potential of the students and score good marks and make them a responsible citizens as well

Any student or teacher from other departments having interest in Philosophy can also borrow book from the library. At present, the College Library has about 150 course text books and references for Philosophy.
